Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Span ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Span is an AI agent orchestration platform that coordinates specialized AI agents to complete tasks on your behalf. The Service includes agent selection, task execution, quality assurance, and related features.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, or use the Service to harm others.
5. Billing and Payment
Certain features require a paid subscription. Billing occurs monthly. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy. All fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. Span retains ownership of the platform, including its software, design, and documentation. You grant Span a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Span shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Text Messaging Program
Span offers an optional text messaging channel. It is a conversational service, not a marketing list: once you connect a mobile number, Span replies to messages you send and notifies you about work you have asked it to do. Span never texts a number that has not texted it first. To join, enter your mobile number in Settings then send the confirmation text Span shows you; you must do both. Message frequency varies and depends on the tasks you ask Span to run. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to leave the program, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Connected Services
You may connect services such as Gmail, Google Calendar and GitHub to Span. When you connect one, you authorise Span to access and process data from that service, using only the permissions you granted, to build your own knowledge layer and to do the work you ask for. You are responsible for having the right to connect an account, including any work account, and for following the terms of the service you connect. Span acts only with the permissions you granted. It never sends an email on your behalf without your approval of that specific message. Other changes, such as creating or updating a calendar event or saving a draft, are proposed to you first until you raise Span's autonomy level for that kind of work, after which Span may make them and tells you what it did, and you can lower that level at any time. You can withdraw permission at any time, from Your brain, then Brain settings, then Manage connected sources inside Span, or from the connected service's own account settings. Disconnecting stops collection at once; the Privacy Policy describes what happens to the data already collected and how to have it deleted. Span's use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
